Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom and Understanding

Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom and Understanding

Father God in the name of Jesus I pray that You grant me and the church
the spirit of wisdom and revelation of insight into mysteries and secrets in
the deep and intimate knowledge of You.

I pray that the eyes of our heart be flooded with light so that we can know and
understand the hope to which You have called us and how rich is Your glorious
inheritance in the saints – us – Your set apart ones. That we may know and
understand what is the immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing greatness of Your
power in and for us who believe. That same power which raised Jesus from the
dead and seated Him at Your right hand in heavenly places.

I ask Father that we be filled this day with the full deep and clear knowledge
of Your will in all spiritual wisdom – in comprehensive insight into Your ways
and purposes – and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things – that
we may walk, live and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the Lord fully pleasing
to You and desiring to please You in all things – as we bear fruit in every
good work and steadily continue to grow and increase in and by the knowledge of
You – with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition
of who You are in and through us.

I pray that we be invigorated this day and strengthened with all power
according to the might of Your glory – to exercise every kind of endurance and
patience – perseverance and forbearance – with joy as we give thanks to You –
our Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the
inheritance of the saints – us – God’s holy people in the Light.

Father may our hearts be braced – comforted, cheered, and encouraged – as we
are knit together in love, that we may come to have all the abounding wealth
and blessings of assured conviction of understanding and that we may become
progressively more intimately acquainted with and may know definitely and
accurately and thoroughly that mystic secret of God, which is Christ the
Anointed One.

May we understand this day more fully that in Him lay all the treasures of
divine wisdom – comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God – and –
all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightment – which is also in us who
